Description
Uninhibited passion, desire and love were important human emotion in ancient times, and their depictions in art were numerous. This passionate and explicit work is no exception. This couple may have been brought together through a numerous range of trials and tribulations, pain and happiness; yet being together at this point consummates their everlasting love. For this is indeed everlasting love. They are sculpted as one complete person, in unending passion, a passion that is perhaps only fleeting in one lifetime. The figures themselves are molded simply but their motions are filled with expression. The artist has portrayed them in a polychrome color adding to their undying unity. To have such passion before us reminds us of the passion that we sometimes lose sight of in the whirlwind of life today. Such works of beauty, bring us back to earth and help us to rekindle that spark of love, desire and passion that is part of us all. L. 30.5cm(12IN) - (PF.3725)
